S‌t‌a‌t‌i‌s‌t‌i‌c‌a‌l m‌e‌a‌s‌u‌r‌e‌s b‌a‌s‌e‌d o‌n h‌o‌s‌p‌i‌t‌a‌l d‌a‌t‌a, s‌h‌o‌w t‌h‌a‌t t‌h‌e n‌u‌m‌b‌e‌r o‌f f‌a‌t‌a‌l‌i‌t‌i‌e‌s r‌e‌g‌a‌r‌d‌i‌n‌g s‌c‌h‌o‌o‌l c‌h‌i‌l‌d‌r‌e‌n, d‌e‌c‌r‌e‌a‌s‌e‌d f‌r‌o‌m 4721 t‌o 1288 d‌u‌r‌i‌n‌g t‌h‌e s‌i‌x y‌e‌a‌r t‌i‌m‌e s‌t‌u‌d‌y; f‌r‌o‌m 2004 t‌o 2010. تصادفات مربوط به پیاده دانش‌آموز به‌دلیل عدم آگاهی و آشنایی نسبت به خطرات ترافیکی در اطراف مدرسه و همچنین مسیرهای مدرسه تا منزل باعث شده است تا این گروه از کاربران راه‌ها ــ خصوصاً دانش‌آموزانی که در مدارس حاشیه‌ی جاده‌های اصلی مشغول به تحصیل‌اند ــ بیشتر از دیگر کاربران جاده‌یی در معرض خطر قرار گیرند و در زمره‌ی گروه‌های آسیب‌پذیر در حوادث جاده‌یی به‌شمار روند.\مرجع{۱} بر این اساس طرح آموزش ایمنی عبور و مرور و ایمن‌سازی مدارس حاشیه‌ی راه‌ها در یک دوره‌ی هشت‌ساله و با استفاده از روش‌ها و شیوه‌های علمی و عملی مصاحبه، پرسش‌نامه و شاخص‌های کمی و کیفی مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفت. نتایج حاصله نشان داد در سال‌های اجرای طرح که تعداد دانش‌آموزان حدود ۱٫۵ میلیون بوده و ۸ میلیون نفرـ ساعت فعالیت آموزشی انجام شده است، میانگین نمرات دانش‌آموزان در آزمون اولیه از ۳ به ۱۴ و در آزمون نهایی از ۱۴ به ۱۷٫۵ )طی سال‌های ۱۳۸۴ تا ۱۳۸۸( ارتقا یافته است. همچنین در سال‌های یادشده تعداد تلفات دانش‌آموزان در محدوده‌ی مدارس از ۱۹۸۷ نفر به ۵۹۸ نفر رسیده که معادل ۷۰درصد کاهش داشته و در محدوده‌ی خارج از مدارس نیز از ۲۷۳۴ نفر به ۱۲۵۷ نفر )معادل ۵۴درصد(\مرجع{۲} کاهش یافته است. https://sjce.journals.sharif.edu/article_623_6ad2eef188b2b89fecde536d8a72b54d.pdf
